Meet the Team

ForzeBreak is currently in development by Swift Limit Games. The team consists of talented developers, artists, and engineers at UC Santa Cruz Games and Playable Media Master's Program in collaboration with external team members including artists from CSUN as well as sound designers, and composers from SFSU who share a passion in creating immersive experiences that blend the old couch gaming with the modern online world.

Miguel Mercado

Creative Director
Producer

Miguel is a Game Developer and 3D Artist with a BA in Interactive Entertainment and Game Development from USC. He is currently working for his MS in Games and Playable Media at UC Santa Cruz. Outside of games he enjoys films, comics ,TV shows, soccer, shinkendo, swimming, basketball, and the occasional bowling. He loves FPS, Action Adventure, Coop, and Sci-Fi games. He guides the game's vision and records as much feedback as possible to improve the user experience.

Xiaoyu Yang

Lead Artist

Ring has a BA in Architecture from Southeast University and Tokyo institute of technology. She also has a MS in Architectural Design from UCLA. She is currently attending UC Santa Cruz Games and Playable Media Program. She is the team's lead artist working on everything from vehicle models, to the little details in our power ups, as well as phenomenal post process lighting that really brings life to our stage.

Jason Lin

Lead Network Programmer

Jason is our lead network programmer with a BS in Computer Engineering from Purdue University. He has 2 years of software development experience. He also is attending UC Santa Cruz Games and Playable Media Program. He has worked on the major networking aspects of the game for online matches and game play related structures. Thanks to him, up to 4 players can play from almost anywhere without any lag!

Boyang Zhou

Lead Gameplay Programmer

Robin is the team's lead gameplay programmer. He has a BS in Information Security from Central South University of China. He also has experience as a C++ software developer and is currently at UC Santa Cruz Games and Playable Media Program. He has worked on main gameplay content like vehicle controls including the unique aspects of each of the vehicles as well as our powerup system.

Zihang Zhang

Programmer

Carry is one of our programmers who has helped out with the structure of power up traps and decoy system that proved out to be quite fun for some trickster players. Currently he attends UC Santa Cruz Games and Playable Media Program.

Martha Magsombol

3D Artist

Martha Magsombol is an art student working on her BA in Arts - Animation at CSU Northridge. She specializes in environment design both in 2D and 3D media. Her free time is consumed by TV, movies, Disney, green teas, museums, and cute cafes.

Jairus Cambe

Audio Lead

Jairus Cambe is a sound designer as well as visual media scorer who has composed for video games and film trailers. He is an undergraduate at San Francisco State University studying Audio Production and Music Recording in the BECA Program there. He is currently an Audio Lead for the video game ForzeBreak. Other hobbies include graphic design, video editing, and maintaining the YouTube Music Channel

Alan “AG” Gordon

Sound Designer

Alan “AG” Gordon is a Sound designer, Audio Engineer with 20+ years’ experience. He has a BA in Broadcast Communications with an emphasize on Audio recording and Sound design. Outside of working on Sound Design for Game audio, he runs a full time recording studio as well being producer/composer of several different genres of music. Hobbies and interest are music, performing, computer programming, movies, out door activities.

Matthew Eis

Sound Designer

Matthew Eis is a sound designer, music producer, and recent graduate of SFSU’s BECA program. He has experience in radio production, audio for video, and 5 years of experience in creating freeform electronic music on Ableton, which has been his main reinforcement in his knowledge and creativity behind Sound Design. Matt plans to further his career in music while continuing to work on sound design for both movies and video games.
